About Our Conference
The AGC Tenwek Cardiothoracic Centre, in collaboration with the Kenyan Association for Thoracic Surgery (KATS), will host the 2026 Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiovascular Perfusion Conference. The conference will bring together cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, perfusionists, anesthesiologists, nurses, trainees, and healthcare leaders from across the region and beyond. The program will emphasize practical, context-relevant learning through live case discussions, hands-on simulation sessions, multidisciplinary panel discussions, scientific abstracts and poster presentations, and expert lectures, with a focus on strengthening cardiovascular care in low-resource settings. Clinicians, trainees, and partners committed to advancing cardiothoracic care in Kenya and across Africa are warmly invited to participate in this collaborative, practice-oriented meeting.
The Centre actively participates in clinical research, surgical innovation, and global medical partnerships.
Through structured fellowships, specialized workshops, and international collaborations, the centre plays a vital role in strengthening cardiothoracic and cardiology care systems throughout the region, equipping healthcare professionals with advanced skills and improving access to life-saving heart care.
